Phase 1

The HCG Diet consists of 3 Phases:

* Phase 1 we call "The Gorge" phase.
* Phase 2 consists of the "VLCD" (Very Low Calorie Diet).
* Phase 3 is "Maintenance", where you lock in your weight loss and begin your new life.

The first phase consists of 72 hours of "Gorging" for those doing the 40 day protocol, and 48 hours of "Gorging" for those doing the 21 day protocol.

Gorging consists of eating as much as you can stand in the time period allowed. Don't hold back! If you want that burger and fries - GET IT SUPER SIZED! If you want ice cream at 1 AM-EAT IT!

During these first 48 or 72 hours you will be taking the HCG 10 drops a day under your tongue 3 times a day.

The goal in this phase is to eat HIGH FAT foods, not just to eat a ton, but to focus primarily on storing up fat for the transition into the protocol of the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) 500 calories per day.

Keep in mind during these days your likely to gain anywhere from 1 to 10 pounds. DONT be alarmed! This is natural and is mostly water weight from all that your taking in.

The weight that you gain will fall off within the first 24 - 48 hours of entering into Phase 2.

Also, you need to make sure that you are drinking enough water as well - at least half your body weight in ounces.

For example if your 200 pounds drink 100 ounces a day. A simple Nalgene bottle or water bottle works very well to track this.
